2. Ms. Rowling doesn't have a middle name. The "K" in her pseudonym is taken from her grandmother's name, Katherine.

3. There are seven players on a Quidditch team.

4. Harry's parents were named Lily and James Potter.

5. Harry and his friends board the Hogwarts Express on Platform 9 3/4 at London's Kings Cross Station.

6. The four houses at Hogwarts are Slytherin, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Gryffindor.

7. Harry's godfather is Sirius Black.

Technically, when the series began, Harry was 1. The first book begins when Dumbledore leaves Harry on the Dursleys doorstep as a baby.

At the start of the books, Harry was left at the Dursleys on the night after his parents' deaths, which would be November 1st, 1981, making him 1 year, 3 months and a day old. The first time we see him for any significant length of time is when he's ten. He starts Hogwarts at age eleven.

When the series started Harry Potter was only an infant, the first chapter states that harry arrived with hagrid on young siruis's bike, and he was wrapped in blankets and i quote " the little tike fell a sleep as we were flying over britol"

the book started when he was 1, then it wnt on to when he was 10 (because he hadn't had his birthday yet), and THEN he turned 11

he was eleven when he started HOGWARTS but its not true that he was one when the series started he was 10 and he turned elevn to all you h.p fans out there ill tell i am a big harry potter fan and i love j.k rowlings books but some of you JUST dont GET IT!!!!!!!!

Ok. Harry Potter was TECHNICALLY one when he was first talked about... in the FIRST chapter. THEN, he was TEN, and then turned ELEVEN...
Also, J.K Rowling's K DOES stand for Kathleen, but it's not really her middle name. She took it from her grandmother. Her editor/publisher came up with the idea, as it might attract more male readers.
Lol... OK.. I think I'm a Harry Potter nerd D:
